REVIEW

(5 Stars)Findlay Napier and the Bar Room Mountaineers are on formidably exhilarating roll right now, as affirmed by a couple of young local dudes in the sellout crowd, heading barwards after the bands opening set: “Man, that was awesome.” “Just so good.”

Centred around the deliciously skewed, subversively comic songs (often co-written with silent partner Nick Turner) and behemoth voice of their ponymous frontman/guitarist, the lineup is completed by fiddle, piano, drums and backing vocals- a deceptively compact… One For the Ditch from last year’s superb File Under Fiction- were supplemented by several brand new ones, amoung them the positively scorching closer Who Cares?

RECOMMEDATIONS

Findlay Napier and the Bar Room Mountaineers grab your attention from the first note played. Songs inspired by everyday life are packed full of drama, humour and a splash of realism. With creative arrangements and an excellent front man in Findlay, this is a band most definitely worth going to see.

Emily Smith- Singer Songwriter, Musician and Promoter for the New Cample Farm venue

“Findlay’s connection to the audience was immediate and his singing was the highlight of the evening. The band was great to work with and truly professional. They also responded well to the audience and took time out to meet and speak with them after he show. All in all, a good time was had by all and I fully recommend Findlay Napier and the Barroom Mountaineers to any venue looking for a quality original music act.”
